I have done business with Kim McDougall, and Blazing Trailers in the past and I think you will be interested in a new marketing opportunity. Kim and Louis have started Castelane with the goal of helping authors, publishers and publicists promote their books.

Opportunities for authors –

My name is K. S. Brooks and I’m a long-time member of Blazing Trailers. I’m also the founder of Indie Authors for Hurricane Sandy Libraries. We’re a group of over 100 authors from around the world who have mobilized to provide libraries devastated by Hurricane Sandy with new books. We’ve already provided nearly one thousand books to libraries in need. We’re also proud to have been featured in a recent edition of the American Library Association’s newsletter.

With more libraries signing on each week, we are now in need of additional authors to supply books, especially children’s. We have opportunities for authors to get their works into major library systems as well as elementary and high school libraries.

Please keep in mind not all books are accepted – they are vetted to make certain they fit the specific criteria provided by each library.

If you know of any authors interested in participating, please have them join the IAHSL Facebook group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/IndieAuthorsforHurricaneSandyLibraries/ or via email at authorsforlibraries@KSBrooks.com. I would greatly appreciate your assistance in spreading the word.

My Best,

K. S. “Kat” Brooks

Authors & Podcast Interviews Wanted

7 Mar

I appreciate Michael Murphy of Emerging Novelists for hosting my trailer for my ebook No Reins. http://www.emergingnovelists.com/booktrailers.html

Michael Murphy is the Author of Goodbye Emily which was released a few weeks ago. Hope you’ll take a look. . http://www.goodbyeemily.com

Some of you may know Kristin will write reviews and articles for the Horror Addicts website in addition to my fiction.

Currently, they are looking for horror genre area authors to interview for their upcoming podcast season and of course asked if she knew anybody, so she’s putting out the word! The interviews would be short, just a few minutes and a few questions via skype.

Anyone interested can email the site owner Emz at horroraddicts@gmail.com with ‘Horror Author Skye Interview’ in the subject and mention Kristin sent you!

She’s not doing many written author interviews and booked themed articles for the sight this year as they are doing a series on the Peter Cushing Centennial, but if anyone has another horror website or media angle they’d like to share, feel free to message me off list.
